Ok so i have gone from no work what-so-ever to 4 essays, 3 of which are due within the next month! One for Discovering world pre-history(DWP) which is due on tuesday, one for Introduction to archaeology due on the 13th and one for Ancient civilisations of the East(ACE) for the 14th. The 4th isnt due till the end of term and its for Roman Empire to Nation state(RENS) my favorite module so im not overly worried about that one...yet!So this blog is going to be fairly short as i need to continue with my DWP essay. However, i needed a break so i thought I'd update this blog!
This week has gotten steadily more manic as it has progressed! Monday the housing lists for next year came out and so all of monday (except the 2hrs for lectures) was spent awandering the streets of durham and its everons (can't spell it...suburbs!)searching for 5 bed room houses within our limited price range...within easy walking distance of 2 boyfriends, St. Mary's college and the Lecture sites....oh and that we all liked!......exactly....you can imagine the headache that this caused! Still by tuesday morning we had things narrowed down to 3 houses, one of which we discarded pretty quickly due to price and the secod of which (the cheapest and furthest away) we hadn't even seen yet. However after visiting it we all agreed that it was by far the nicest house and although a little inonvenient for boyfriend visiting(which i do understand!) the price and niceness out-weighed this!By tues afternoon we had accepted the house, which is called Greencroft and the deeds are, as i speak, winging there way to us via snail-mail to sign.
So all this excitement is now over and we have to wait untill next yr to live there...kindof and anti-climax really!
Wed, we had a Burn's night (as Helen is Scottish...kind of!) and the whole day for Helen and Kat was spent cooking haggis and potato, not to mention the odd-looking turnips! We drannk shloer instead of whisky and did the whole of 'The Address to The Haggis' and danced scottish dances (sort of!) in the very limited space of Kat, Nicola and Heathers shared room. Great fun! Today has been taken up with writting this essay which i must now sadly get back to!
The observant among you may also have noted that i have changed the colour of my font...a trick i picked up from my little brothers blog site!he really is a clever wee laddy!
Right then, for now this is it!
