Third time a Bridesmaid....

....good job I'm not a superstitious person really!

I had a phone call whilst babysitting on saturday night, at first I thought I was a prank cos all I could hear from the phone when I answered was this very high pitched squeaking noise. I was about to hang up when I heard my friend Anne's voice emerge from the squeaking in a slightly less squeaky tone - "You'll never guess!! you'll never guess!!" Now I tend to find people who say that down a phone a tad irratating cos if I'm "never gonna guess" why say that?, just tell me! So any way she did eventually tell me and what she said explained the squeaking I'd heared when I'd answered the phone. She had gotten engaged to her boyfriend a few minets before and had told her mum and dad (who knew already obviously) immediatly and then rung me very excited.

I have known Anne since I moved into my house at the age of 3. She has since become to me alot more than a friend and more like a sister. Therefore, when I finally deciphered this message from her squeaks I have to admit that I joined in the with the incoherant squeaking contest.
She then went on to ask me if I would mind being her maid of honour. Obviously I said yes (or possibly the squeaks just increased! hehe) and the fact that she asked me made me feel so special, because as I said she feels like my sister, but she does infact have her own sister who I thought she'd ask. So you can see why I'd be so touched.
It was only after I put the phone down however, that I realised that this would be my third time as a bridesmaid and as you all probably know..."Three times a bridesmaid, never a bride!" As I said at the beginning I am not a superstitious girl, I believe my life is under the control of my Lord and Saviour but I would be telling a lie if I said it didnt give me a moments worry.

However, my blog didnt really have a point or a moral and if I'd just ended it there it would have fallen a bit flat but I really only wanted to share this little bit of exciting news with you all! I love weddings and I can't wait till her special day arrives.
Love in the masses

p.s: does being maid of honour mean I have to organise Hen night etc?? hehe oh that would be sooooo much fun!

Congratulations! I do actually remember you texting me telling me this (I know that's hard to believe given my state at the time), but woooo once more! It will be amazing I'm sure. And oh yes, hen night stuff is SO your responsibility - so make sure it's a good one!
